The Bar
Pints, pals & good craic
Downstairs, The West is a proper Westport pub — stone walls, dark wood and a long bar pulling a perfect pint of Guinness alongside a wide range of beers, wines and spirits. Grab a high stool by the window for the passing Bridge Street traffic, or duck into a snug corner under the old staircase. There's a warm welcome every day of the week.

A Bridge Street fixture
The West has poured pints on this corner of Bridge Street since 1901 — one of Westport’s longest-standing pubs, through more changes in the town than most of the buildings still standing here have seen. The name and the address haven’t moved in well over a century; the welcome hasn’t either.
On Tap
Well kept, generously poured
A perfect pint of Guinness is the anchor, alongside a proper range of draught and bottled beers, wines by the glass and a well-stocked spirits shelf — including a solid line-up of Irish whiskeys for anyone working their way through the counter. Ask behind the bar if you don’t see what you’re after.
